There is no pressure to accept more work than you require. There is no maximum or
minimum number of hours you must work.
We have many years experience working with students learning greek as a foreign language
and will work hard to match your strengths to the needs of the students.
As soon as you are accepted by the agency, we will start to contact you with details of
prospective clients in your local area, as and when they arise. If you wish to accept a client,
the agency will help negotiate times and location agreeable to both parties. We offer personal
and friendly attention to all our tutors, and try to accommodate individual needs and
preferences.
We will keep in touch with you once your tutoring has begun to make sure you are
comfortable with the arrangements and be available to help sort out problems or answer
questions.
Our commission rates are low and clearly set out on our fees page.
You will save yourself time and hassle dealing with enquiries because we can do all
that on your behalf.
To become a Tutor you must:
Be over 21 years of age.
Be resident in the UK.
Have a university degree and/or teaching certificates.
Have a recent Enhanced CRB clearance and be aware that we will fully check all
references.
In the event of a new Enhanced check being required this can be arranged through Agency,
but it will attract a fee of approximately £55, which is payable by the tutor. This may
seem expensive but we make no profit from it and it is an essential step in providing peace
of mind for the parents. Until we have this evidence we are unable to arrange tutoring. If
you are in any doubt about your status please contact us.
Be aware that tutors remain self-employed at all times. Therefore they maintain full
responsibility for all of their liabilities including the payment of income tax and national
insurance. It is strongly advised that you check your status before beginning work for
the agency.
